Softball Recap: Pelham Takes a Loss

Pelham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Chelsea Hornets, falling 14-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 7-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2021.

Taylor Howard was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jordan Young, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Pelham's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Chelsea, their win bumped their record up to 11-6-1.

Coming up, Pelham will square off against Mortimer Jordan at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chelsea, it'll be a Battle of the Bugs Chelsea Hornets face off against McAdory Yellowjackets at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
