Volleyball Recap: Lyons Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Lyons faced off against Spencer-Van Etten on Saturday. The Lions fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1.

Keira Weber paced Lyons' offense, picking up nine kills. Weber got some help from Kamryn Bonnell and her 19 assists. Bonnell and Weber didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Lyons' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyons will venture away from home to take on Sodus at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spencer-Van Etten, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Candor at 6:30 p.m. on the 16th.
