Baseball Recap: Martin County West's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Martin County West came into Tuesday's match having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Sleepy Eye Indians a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Mavericks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The result came thanks to Lucas Larson's shutout, as he gave up just four hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Martin County West is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Maddex Faber was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Cam Meyer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
