Softball Recap: Coon Rapids Takes a Loss

Coon Rapids fell victim to Anoka and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 16-0 to the Tornadoes. The Cardinals' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Coon Rapids saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Fowler, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Coon Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coon Rapids will take on Totino-Grace at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Anoka, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Elk River at 4:30 p.m. on the 14th.
