Football Recap: Xavier Pierce and Aryan Dale Pace Batesville Defense

Batesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 35-12 to the Nettleton Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pioneers of the 27-12 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Batesville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Xavier Pierce and Aryan Dale. Rourke Sevier was another major factor on D, making 18 total tackles.

Batesville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Nettleton, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
