Basketball Recap: Centerville Comes Up Short

Centerville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 44-27 bruising from the Normangee Panthers. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 17 points.

Centerville's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Normangee, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-16.

Centerville has already played their next matchup (against Groveton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Normangee Panthers challenge the Leon Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Leon will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Normangee surely won't give up without a fight.
