Soccer Game Preview: Dawson County vs. Jefferson

The Dawson County Tigers will challenge the Jefferson Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dawson County comes in on five and Jefferson on three.

Dawson County's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Pickens. Give the Tigers' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson). Everything went their way against East Hall on Friday as Jefferson made off with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won five contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Dawson County pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those five matchups. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
