Baseball Recap: Oak Grove Extends Winning Streak to Five

It's playoff time, and Oak Grove had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Biloxi Indians on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Stratton Farmer looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eric Booth Jr was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Kendrell Roberts was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Oak Grove's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-5. As for Biloxi, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-15.

Oak Grove will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Indians: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
