Baseball Recap: Falkner Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wheeler on Saturday, Falkner came back down to earth. The Falkner Eagles fell just short of the New Site Royals by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Falkner saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Jordan, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most RBI Jordan has posted since back in April of 2024. Myles Mitchell also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Falkner's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-3. As for New Site, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Falkner will take on Middleton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Falkner is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season. As for New Site, they will face off against Bruce at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Site also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 6.7 runs per game.
