Football Recap: Bath County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 42 points the game before, Bath County was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They came up short against the Pendleton County Wildcat, falling 33-12. The loss continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Wildcat: they've now lost six in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Bath County lost, don't look at Ethan Bryant. Despite the final result, he rushed for 113 yards and one score.

Pendleton County found their leader in sophomore Colton Roberson, who made 15 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and snagged an interception. Travis Owens also helped out with an impressive 88 receiving yards.

Bath County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Pendleton County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bath County will square off against Eastern Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Chargers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Pendleton County, they will challenge Pocahontas County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcat will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
