Football Recap: Banning Lewis Academy Piles Up the Points Against Manitou Springs + How To Watch

After low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Banning Lewis Academy brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They blew past the Manitou Springs Mustangs, posting a 45-8 victory. With the Stallions ahead 28-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Among those leading the charge was Sam Early, who threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending one pass. Another player making a difference was Jordan Jones, who picked up 121 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 15 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Early, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Banning Lewis Academy moved to 4-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Manitou Springs, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

As of now, neither Banning Lewis Academy nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
