Basketball Recap: Temple Academy's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Temple Academy dropped to 11-3 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They took a hard 55-41 fall against the Berean Academy Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 61-46 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

As for Berean Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points over those games.

Berean Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Wigginton, who shot 42% from the field en route to 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Cody Stansifer, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 12 points and eight boards.

Coming up, Temple Academy will head out on the road to challenge Cedar View Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Berean Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet LaFayette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
