Softball Recap: TMI-Episcopal Comes Up Short

After soaring to 18 runs the game before, TMI-Episcopal was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 17-1 to the Cornerstone Christian Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 12-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

TMI-Episcopal saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Molly Chambers, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. Chambers is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played.

TMI-Episcopal has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Cornerstone Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9-1.

TMI-Episcopal and Cornerstone Christian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Panthers will take on Antonian Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (673 vs. 90). Meanwhile, Cornerstone Christian (ranked 377th) will meet Eagle Pass (ranked 64th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
