Recap: Parker Thundering Herd vs. Minor Tigers
The Parker Thundering Herd had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past Minor 41-7 at home. The result was nothing new for Parker, who have now won five games by 32 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Cameron Jennings, who threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes. Amari Brundidge was another key contributor, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
Parker's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-6 Woodlawn and 2-6 Minor (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36.9% over those games). As for Minor, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parker will take on Huffman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Huffman comes in on a streak of failing to score more than zero points in their last nine games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Minor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodlawn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
