Basketball Recap: Lakeshore Takes a Loss

Lakeshore has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Franklinton Demons. Lakeshore was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Franklinton earlier this season, when they won 78-38.

Lakeshore's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 20-10. As for Franklinton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-12.

Lakeshore will challenge Archbishop Hannan at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Archbishop Hannan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Lakeshore likes a good challenge. As for Franklinton, they will host Loranger at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklinton is facing Loranger at the right time seeing as Loranger is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
