Softball Recap: Plainwell Comes Up Short

Plainwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 18-2 to the Otsego Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on Tuesday.

Plainwell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophie Munch, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That hit marked the first that Munch got this season.

Plainwell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Otsego, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Plainwell and Otsego will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Trojans see the field they'll take on Paw Paw at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Otsego, their break will end when they face Edwardsburg at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th.
