Soccer Recap: California Academy of Math & Science Has No Trouble Against Vistamar

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cabrillo, California Academy of Math & Science was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Vistamar Vikings a 6-0 shutout. That looming 6-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Coyotes yet this season.

California Academy of Math & Science's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3-1. As for Vistamar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. California Academy of Math & Science will take on Lennox Academy in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vistamar, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 3:15 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
