Weaver had won five straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 16-2 to make it six. They blew past the Comp Sci Eagles, posting a 73-28 win. The Beavers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

As for Comp Sci, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Weaver is ranked 44th).

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Talea Lewis, who posted 14 points. DeMya Barrett was another key player, putting up three points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Weaver wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 73-28 victory against CREC [Civic Leaderdship/Academy of Aerospace and Engineering/Metropolitan Learning Center] on the 12th. As for Comp Sci, they have also already played their next contest, a 48-39 win against East Windsor on the 13th.
