Meanwhile, Whittier RVT came up short against Haverhill on Thursday and fell 6-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whittier RVT saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Vicente, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Whittier RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's matchup. The Craftsmen have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game.
