Basketball Recap: Titusville Takes a Loss

Titusville and Eau Gallie squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Titusville had to settle for second. They fell to the Eau Gallie Commodores 42-37. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Terriers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-27 last Monday.

Myli Harpold went supernova for Eau Gallie, going 8 for 18 en route to 20 points and three steals. That's the most points Harpold has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brooke Samler, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

Titusville has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for Eau Gallie, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-15 record this season.

Titusville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eau Gallie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 35-34 win against Satellite on the 6th.
