Basketball Game Preview: Northview Titans vs. Lithonia Bulldogs

Northview is 0-5 against Lithonia since January of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Northview Titans will venture away from home to face off against the Lithonia Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Northview is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Southwest DeKalb 86-26. The match marked the Titans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lithonia was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 56-50 to Southwest DeKalb. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Panthers are ranked 26th).

Northview's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Lithonia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Northview came up short against Lithonia when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 72-63. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lithonia's Na'Kyiz Davis, who posted 33 points. Now that Northview knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time?
