Volleyball Recap: Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Douglas County Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

When it comes to explaining why Chapel Hill lost, don't look at Zarya Petidos. Despite the final result, she had eight digs and three aces.

Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Douglas County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Chapel Hill and Douglas County will both be playing Alexander the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Cougars at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
