Baseball Game Preview: Evansville Reitz Panthers vs. Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats

The Evansville Reitz Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Evansville Reitz nor Evansville Mater Dei posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Saturday, Evansville Reitz came up short against Evansville Central and fell 5-1. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Evansville Reitz saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keagan Hauke, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Evansville Mater Dei's offense. They fell just short of Evansville North by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Evansville Reitz's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Evansville Mater Dei, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.
