Volleyball Recap: Delavan Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Delavan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tremont Turks. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Delavan sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-15, 21-25, 25-10.

Kara Lowry paced Delavan's offense, picking up ten kills. Lowry got some help from Lilly Carlton and her 11 assists. Lowry also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mckinzey Ring, each putting up two.

Delavan's loss dropped their record down to 5-25. As for Tremont, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-15.

Looking ahead, Delavan will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Olympia at 7:00 p.m. As for Tremont, they will square off against Fieldcrest at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
