Baseball Recap: Valley Gets the Win

Valley came out on top against Bernalillo on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Vikings walked away with a 7-4 win over the Spartans. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Valley got a great performance from Corbin Torres as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over 6.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Torres has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Caden Barth, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Elias Saiz was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Valley's record is now 9-17. As for Bernalillo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Valley nor Bernalillo have any future games scheduled.
