Whiting entered their tilt with East Chicago Central on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Cardinals 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Oilers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Whiting took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-8.

Audrina Aponte paced Whiting's offense, picking up 13 kills. Aponte got some help from Liliana Lozano and her 12 assists. Aponte was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Whiting's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for East Chicago Central, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-11.
