Volleyball Recap: Butler Comes Up Short

Butler entered their matchup against Seneca Valley on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Golden Tornado fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 3-2. The Golden Tornado were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Butler sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 20-25, 25-23, 25-27, 16-14.

Butler's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Seneca Valley, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Butler will take on rival Pine-Richland at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Seneca Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Fox Chapel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
