Preview: Pine Creek Eagles vs. Rampart Rams

Pine Creek has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Rampart Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Pine Creek scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Vista Ridge by a score of 76-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Meanwhile, Rampart beat Liberty 51-42 on Friday.

Myles Chavarria had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Adeel Johnson el, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Isaiah Melecio, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Rams squad sat out for Friday's match. With Melecio sitting this one out, Bobby Woolfolk got some extra time on the court (16 vs. his season average of 7.93).

Pine Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Rampart, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-13.

Pine Creek didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Rampart in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 61-56 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Rampart's Deangelo Smith, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Pine Creek still be able to contain Smith? There's only one way to find out.
