Baseball Recap: Owensville Dutchmen vs. Sullivan Eagles

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pacific, Owensville was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Sullivan Eagles 4-3. The victory was some much needed relief for the Dutchmen as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Chase Weirich was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Owensville is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-7 otherwise. Weirich was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.
