After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lawton, Hackett Catholic Prep was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They never let the Fennville Blackhawks get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Fighting Irish: when they faced off against the Blackhawks back in March, they had to take a 13-3 loss.

Hackett Catholic Prep let Paige Zeigler and Caroline Oldham run wild. Zeigler went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Oldham got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was Oldham's first of the season. Ally Oldham was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Hackett Catholic Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Hackett Catholic Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Fennville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
