Volleyball Game Preview: Central Davidson Spartans vs. Phoenix Academy Firebirds

The Central Davidson Spartans will face off against the Phoenix Academy Firebirds at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Central Davidson came up short against Jordan-Matthews on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Academy entered their tilt with Triad Math and Science Academy last Wednesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Bengals.

Phoenix Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Triad Math and Science Academy between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-18.

Phoenix Academy pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Central Davidson, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Central Davidson couldn't quite get it done against Phoenix Academy in their previous meeting two weeks ago as they fell 3-1. Can Central Davidson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
