Volleyball Game Preview: Swain County Maroon Devils vs. Hayesville Yellowjackets

The Swain County Maroon Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Hayesville Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Swain County will be strutting in after a win while Hayesville will be coming in after a defeat.

Swain County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Albemarle as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Hayesville unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-match winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Cherokee. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Yellowjackets have suffered since September 2nd.

Hayesville was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-18, 25-16.

Swain County has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Hayesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-4.

Swain County suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Hayesville in their previous matchup on Tuesday. Can the Maroon Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
