Tyrie Cleveland of
Westfield (Houston) decommitted from the University of Houston to sign with the Gators.
"I had to do what's best for me," Cleveland told the
Houston Chronicle. "Ultimately, I always wanted to be a Gator."
Cleveland is ranked No. 33 in the nation by the 247Sports Composite and he is the
No. 2-ranked receiver in the country. The 6-foot-2, 189-pound senior is
also ranked No. 3 overall in the state of Texas.
Cleveland caught 46 passes for 982 yards and 14 touchdowns for
Westfield, which went 10-2 on the season. As a junior, Cleveland caught
53 passes for 1,109 yards and 13 scores.
