No. 2 wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland flips from Houston to Florida on National Signing Day

No. 2 wide receiver was expected to go to Houston, but instead picks the Gators.

Florida picked up one of the nation's top wide receivers when Tyrie Cleveland of Westfield (Houston) decommitted from the University of Houston to sign with the Gators.

"I had to do what's best for me," Cleveland told the Houston Chronicle. "Ultimately, I always wanted to be a Gator."

Cleveland is ranked No. 33 in the nation by the 247Sports Composite and he is the No. 2-ranked receiver in the country. The 6-foot-2, 189-pound senior is also ranked No. 3 overall in the state of Texas.

Cleveland caught 46 passes for 982 yards and 14 touchdowns for Westfield, which went 10-2 on the season. As a junior, Cleveland caught 53 passes for 1,109 yards and 13 scores.
