Softball Recap: Gibraltar Comes Up Short

Gibraltar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Oconto Blue Devils, falling 15-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on Tuesday.

Gibraltar saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anna Jarosh, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Gibraltar's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Oconto, they pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Gibraltar will square off against Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blazers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Oconto, they will take on Peshtigo at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
