Preview: Therrell Panthers vs. KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors
Therrell and KIPP Atlanta Collegiate are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Therrell Panthers will take on the KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Therrell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
Even though Washington scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Therrell still came out on top. Therrell walked away with a 63-56 win over Washington. The win made it back-to-back wins for Therrell.
Therrell found their leader in underclassman Andrew Taylor, who scored 19 points along with five assists and two steals. Taylor hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Tyler Superville was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, KIPP Atlanta Collegiate came up short against Mount Paran Christian on Tuesday and fell 63-52. KIPP Atlanta Collegiate has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Therrell's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-19. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, their loss dropped their record down to 7-17.
Therrell strolled past KIPP Atlanta Collegiate in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a score of 81-65. Will Therrell repeat their success, or does KIPP Atlanta Collegiate have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
