Preview: Westview Wolverines vs. Canyon Crest Academy Ravens
Westview has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, it was close, but Westview sidestepped University City for a 61-58 win. The win was all the more spectacular given Westview's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 567th, while University City is ranked 204th).
Meanwhile, Canyon Crest Academy might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Torrey Pines an easy 81-55 win.
Westview's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5. As for Canyon Crest Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-6.
Westview came up short against Canyon Crest Academy in their previous matchup back in February, falling 57-52. Can Westview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
