Basketball Game Preview: North Charleston Cougars vs. West Ashley Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the North Charleston Cougars duke it out with the West Ashley Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday... North Charleston will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

North Charleston will head into Saturday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 28-point drubbing they dealt Burke on Saturday. North Charleston simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Burke 68-40. That 28 point margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, West Ashley's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Augusta Christian.

North Charleston pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for West Ashley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
