Softball Recap: Cahokia Comes Up Short

Cahokia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-0 to the Marion Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comanches of the 17-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Cahokia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Marion, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cahokia will square off against Carbondale at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marion, they will venture away from home to face off against Scott City at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
