Recap: Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Roadrunners vs. Mayer Wildcats

The Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Roadrunners's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 51-28 walloping at the hands of Mayer. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf has struggled against Mayer recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Phoenix Day School for the Deaf lost, one person who can't be blamed is Pearl Williams. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. Valentina Gutierrez was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.

Even though they lost, Phoenix Day School for the Deaf were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mayer only pulled down 17.
