Basketball Recap: Ontario Comes Up Short

Ontario was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. The contest between them and the Chaffey Tigers didn't end well, with the Ontario Jaguars falling 52-37. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1258th, while the Tigers are ranked 512th).

Ontario's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Chaffey, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ontario will square off against Chino at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chino knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Ontario likes a good challenge. As for Chaffey, they will challenge Don Lugo at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
