Basketball Game Preview: McKay Royal Scots vs. Silverton Foxes

McKay is 0-4 against Silverton since January of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The McKay Royal Scots will face off against the Silverton Foxes at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

McKay is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 49-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dallas.

Meanwhile, Silverton entered their matchup against South Albany on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Silverton fell 42-33 to South Albany. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Foxes came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Redhawks are ranked 49th).

Silverton's defeat ended a 16-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-2. As for McKay, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

McKay suffered a grim 60-40 defeat to Silverton in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can McKay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
