Soccer Game Preview: Beaumont vs. Cajon

The Beaumont Cougars will challenge the Cajon Cowboys at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cajon took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Beaumont, who comes in off a win.

Beaumont took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They skirted past Redlands 3-2. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Terriers are ranked 1018th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Caleb Carver and Isaac Garcia scored all three of Beaumont's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Cajon was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of Yucaipa by a score of 2-1. The Cowboys' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Beaumont has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3-3 record this season. As for Cajon, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6-2.

Beaumont skirted past Cajon 2-1 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Will Beaumont repeat their success, or does Cajon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
