Basketball Game Preview: Seligman Antelopes vs. Salome Frogs

Seligman is on a three-game streak of home losses, Salome a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Wednesday. The Seligman Antelopes will host the Salome Frogs at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Seligman is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Ash Fork on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Seligman was dealt a 69-19 defeat at the hands of Ash Fork. The Antelopes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-10.

Meanwhile, Salome lost to Fort Thomas on the road by a 55-41 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Frogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Apaches are ranked 42nd).

Salome's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Seligman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Seligman was taken down by Salome 45-18 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Seligman, Kaniece Thomas (who almost dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 11 boards, and nine blocks) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
