Soccer Recap: Martin County Comes Up Short at Home Against Bear Grass Charter

Martin County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Bear Grass Charter Bears by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Jerardo Osorio was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Brian Morgado and Jason Violante scored both of Martin County's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Martin County will challenge Southside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bear Grass Charter, they will square off against Wayne Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
