Preview: St. Patrick Fighting Irish vs. Bowling Green Buccaneers
The St. Patrick Fighting Irish are on the road again on Friday and play against the Bowling Green Buccaneers at 7:15 p.m. on December 1st. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Forrest County Agricultural scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, St. Patrick still came out on top. St. Patrick took their match against Forrest County Agricultural 67-56. The win was just what St. Patrick needed coming off of a 86-51 loss in their prior contest.
St. Patrick's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Brendan Moton, who scored 21 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals, and Matt Krass, who scored 23 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The matchup was Krass' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alex Triplett, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bowling Green made easy work of Poplarville on Saturday and carried off a 37-13 win. The victory was just what Bowling Green needed coming off of a 89-38 loss in their prior game.
Ocean Springs' win bumped their season record to 0-0 while St. Patrick's defeat dropped theirs to 3-3.
