Baseball Game Preview: Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs vs. Timber Creek Wolves

The Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs and the Timber Creek Wolves will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Flagler Palm Coast saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell 13-10 to Lyman.

Nole Hemmerle made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Brenin Striplin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Hemmerle wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Flagler Palm Coast kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Timber Creek entered their tilt with Lyman on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over the Greyhounds. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Wolves this season.

Timber Creek also got a great performance from Jenuel Velazquez as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Furthermore, Velazquez didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Elijah Buffaloe was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Hurtado, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Timber Creek's record is now 11-3. As for Flagler Palm Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
