Basketball Recap: Pensacola Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Pensacola Christian Academy lost against Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pensacola Christian Academy Warriors took a hard 50-36 fall against the Central Jaguars. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lakin Mathews led the charge by putting up ten points along with eight steals and five boards. Those eight steals gave Mathews a new career-high. Autumn Boutwell was another key player, going 5 of 11 en route to 16 points.

Pensacola Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Pensacola Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-49 loss against West Florida Baptist Academy on the 17th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-45 defeat against Paxton on the 17th.
