Softball Recap: Wheaton Comes Up Short

Wheaton fell victim to Bethesda-Chevy Chase and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Barons, falling 15-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 29-10 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Wheaton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Wheaton will square off against Quince Orchard on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, they will head out on the road to challenge Einstein at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
