Gettysburg is 8-2 against West York Area since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Warriors will square off against the Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. Gettysburg's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so West York Area's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Gettysburg turned things around against Bishop McDevitt on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Crusaders 2-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West York Area). Everything went their way against Dover on Wednesday as they made off with an 18-3 win. The Bulldogs have beaten the Eagles the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

West York Area's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Gettysburg, their win bumped their record up to an identical 11-6.

Gettysburg beat West York Area 7-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
