 IDEA South Flores can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against KIPP University Prep as the IDEA South Flores Owls made off with  a  10-2 win. IDEA South Flores' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last five games.
  Matthew Trejo looked comfortable as he  struck out seven batters over  3.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Renee De La Vega, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3.  Perry Lucio was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
 IDEA South Flores pushed their record up to 1-5 with that  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.6 runs per game. As for KIPP University Prep,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. IDEA South Flores will take on Varsity Opponent at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for KIPP University Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on IDEA South Flores at 10:00  a.m.  on April 20th.
